Andy’s Orchard endeavors to grow many different varieties of stone fruit that are selected primarily for their flavor and overall eating quality. Our fruit is termed artisanal and is tree-ripened when harvested and grown sustainably using Integrated Pest Management principles and some organic practice (uncertified). We rely on minimal use of lower risk pesticides to achieve pest and disease control. Soil gypsum, cover crops and humates are used to restore soil fertility. We also follow Good Farming Practices, a Global G.A.P food safety program which certifies that our enterprise strictly adheres to practices which assures customers that our fruit is grown, handled, and sold in the safest possible manner. The plan also addresses issues of sustainability, maintaining soil and water quality, and promoting worker safety and welfare.
